Scholarships for Refugee and Students from International Crisis Areas
The University of Siena participates in different international projects and programs designed to offer support and assistance for accessing higher education levels to candidates who are refugees or come from areas of international crisis.
UNICORE Scholarship
The Unicore – University Corridors for Refugees, is a project of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The intended recipients of the scholarship are refugee students residing in African territories who aim to continue their academic journey at Italian universities, including the University of Siena.
What it Offers: A scholarship covering the entire period of study, exemption from university fees, accommodation, a laptop, and free meals.
Selection Criteria: Selection through an official call for applications.

Just Peace Scholarship
The Just Peace Program at the University of Siena aims to develop and expand activities and projects supporting students and researchers seeking international protection or those coming from high-risk and crisis areas.
What it Offers: Scholarship, exemption from university fees, free meals, laptop, and the possibility of accommodation.
Selection Criteria: Selection through an official call for applications.
