Instructions for Completing the Enrollment Procedures

This page provides the necessary instructions for completing the enrollment procedures for the academic year 2025/2026. It is intended for applicants who have received the Letter of Eligibility for Enrollment. Please refer to the category assigned to you, as indicated in the accompanying email.

Non-European Applicants Requiring a Visa to Enter Italy

Once an applicant has received the Letter of Eligibility for Enrollment, they must register on the Universitaly portal, which is managed by the Italian government and typically opens in March/April. Through this portal, applicants must submit their pre-enrollment application to the University of Siena by uploading the required documentation.

The Admission Office will verify the accuracy of the application and, upon approval, will enable the applicant to proceed with the student visa application.

The list of documents required for final enrollment is available at this page.

Notice: Applicants must independently schedule an appointment with the relevant Italian diplomatic representation. We strongly recommend that candidates begin the visa application process as soon as possible to avoid delays. The time it takes to obtain a visa may exceed four months, depending on your country of origin. Each year, the University of Siena sets a final enrollment deadline, and delays in obtaining a visa will not be accepted beyond this date.

European, EU-Equivalent, and Non-European Applicants Already Holding a Valid Residence Permit

Applicants must prepare the required documentation.

Enrollment will begin on July 7, 2025. After this date, applicants who have gathered all the necessary documents must contact the Admission Office via email to obtain authorization for uploading the final enrollment documents.
