Calculation of your diploma/degree grade normalized score

To access the subsidized services provided to deserving international students, our university needs to know your diploma/degree grade expressed on a universal scale. To calculate your normalized score, you need to use the following formula:

The minimum score refers to the lowest score required to obtain the qualification from your institution. The maximum score refers to the highest score achievable for the qualification.

NOTICE: The resulting score must be rounded to the closest integer and must range between 60 and 100.

EXAMPLE: Your GPA is 15.45. The minimum GPA required to obtain the qualification from your school/university is 12. The maximum achievable GPA is 20. Your score is 60 + (15.45 – 12) / (20 – 12) x 40 = 77.

EXAMPLE: Your GPA is 4.15. The minimum GPA required to obtain the qualification from your school/university is 3.0. The maximum achievable GPA is 5.0. Your score is 60 + (4.15 – 3.0) / (5.0 – 3.0) x 40 = 83.

EXAMPLE: Your GPA is 10.74. The minimum GPA required to obtain the qualification from your school/university is 2.0. The maximum achievable GPA is 12.0. Your score is 60 + (10.74 – 2.0) / (12.0 – 2.0) x 40 = 95.

You can calculate your score using a downloadable spreadsheet.

NOTICE: for participation in selection processes where the assigned score is determined based on the final grade of the qualifying degree, candidates must provide official documentation from the respective school or university confirming the earned GPA, as well as the minimum and maximum possible values. Without such documentation, the administration will assign the candidate a default normalized GPA of 60.
